Nurture Yourself

Sometimes it is necessary to Nurture yourself or give in to indulgences to help you through flashbacks and other feelings that you may experience as a victim/survivor of sexual assault.

A good way to start is to develop a list of things that you "never have time" to do. Start your list by asking yourself and others, questions like "when I was a child, what did I do to nurture myself?" and "what do you do to nurture yourself?" and "what do you/I never have time to do?" Then include the things that you would like to do to nurture yourself.

Below are a few suggestions of what you might like to do to nurture yourself. Your list doesn't have to include all or even any of these things. They are just a guide to help you create your own list.
